Enjoy Healthier Foods
Adopting a new eating style that promotes weight loss must include lowering your total calorie intake. . . . One way you can lower your calorie intake is by eating more plant-based foods — fruits, vegetables and whole grains. Strive for variety to help you achieve your goals without giving up taste or nutrition.
- Eat at least four servings of vegetables and three servings of fruits daily.
- Replace refined grains with whole grains.
- Use modest amounts of healthy fats, such as olive oil, vegetable oils, avocados, nuts, and nut butters and oils.
- Cut back on sugar.
- Choose low-fat dairy products and lean meat and poultry in limited amounts.
In / Into
The key difference between ‘in’ and ‘into’ is that ‘in’ indicates a state of being, whereas ‘into’ indicates motion. For example, ‘into’ is often used to describe the movement of something from outdoors to indoors, such as in the sentence, “I walked into the house.” By contrast, ‘in’ is used when a thing or person is stationary. For example, “I found the book in the drawer.”
ExamplesJack drove his car into the garage.My friend lives in that house.The teacher came quickly into the room and began the lesson.The dishes are in that cupboard.
Percy Bysshe Shelley
The fountains mingle with the river,
And the rivers with the ocean;
The winds of heaven mix forever
With a sweet emotion;
Nothing in the world is single;
All things by a law divine
In another’s being mingle–
Why not I with thine?
See, the mountains kiss high heaven,
And the waves clasp one another;
No sister flower could be forgiven
If it disdained its brother;
And the sunlight clasps the earth,
And the moonbeams kiss the sea;–
What is all this sweet work worth,
If thou kiss not me?
