Fair – Def: treating or affecting everyone in the same way.
We all like to be treated fairly. We’ve all had experience being treated unfairly. When we’re treated unfairly we get angry and we believe a double standard is being used to make judgments. When we act in a fair way toward others, it means that we apply a reasonable standard to all people with whom we interact. When we act with bias toward someone, we violate the principle of fairness. Being fair breeds respect and honors the dignity of each person.
