Patience – Def: the ability to wait, or to continue doing something despite difficulties, or to suffer without complaining or becoming annoyed.
I witnessed a wonderful display of patience at the supermarket. A woman was slowly trying to select the perfect avocados. A man stood behind her waiting his turn. When she finished, she turned toward the man and said, “I’m sorry, I didn’t know you were waiting.” The man smiled, and said, “No problem, we share the same planet.” The woman agreed, and said, “Thank you for your patience.” He replied, “You caught me on a good day.” They both laughed and I had story about patience. Everyone won.
