Feeling Good Tip of the Day ~ Rise, Rise, and Rise Again

I’m very competitive. I’ve never liked losing or failing. It happens, It happens to all of us. No matter how hard we try we’re going to get knocked down. I’ve learned not to stay down, pick myself up and stick my face into the blowing winds. I’ve learned that each time I rise after failing I get stronger and wiser. It’s one of life’s guidelines. Don’t quit. Don’t give in to the darkness. Rise, rise, rise again.

Inspiring Quote of the Day ~ Hang in There, No Quit

“In the confrontation between the stream and the rock, the stream always wins, not through strength but by perseverance.”

Poem of the Day ~ Holy Innocents

Holy Innocents

Christina Rossetti

Sleep, little Baby, sleep;
The holy Angels love thee,
And guard thy bed, and keep
A blessed watch above thee.
No spirit can come near
Nor evil beast to harm thee:
Sleep, Sweet, devoid of fear
Where nothing need alarm thee.

The Love which doth not sleep,
The eternal Arms surround thee:
The Shepherd of the sheep
In perfect love hath found thee.
Sleep through the holy night,
Christ-kept from snare and sorrow,
Until thou wake to light
And love and warmth to-morrow.

Joke of the Day

Joe: “It was very cold yesterday. My girlfriend said all I’d need would be gloves and a scarf to walk to the supermarket.”

Pete: “How did it work out.”

Joe: “Not to well. I got arrested. Everyone else was wearing clothes.”

Positive Thought of the Day ~ Good Things Are Coming Your Way

“When you think positive, good things happen.” ~ Matt Kemp

C’mon, turn the corners up and smile. Good things are coming your way. You’ll miss them if you’re not looking for them. We always find what we’re looking for so why not look for the good things of life.¬†
