Make Strawberries Part of Your Healthy Diet

 

“Strawberries are an antioxidant powerhouse,” says Jenna Volpe, RDN, who practices in Austin, Texas. “Adding strawberries to a balanced diet can potentially offer a wide array of benefits, ranging from cardiovascular support and inflammation reduction to cancer protection, a healthier gut, and more.” Some antioxidants found in strawberries include vitamin C and the carotenoids lutein and carotene, according to USDA data. Plus, strawberries are a good source of other vitamins, minerals, and fiber.
