Still Here
Langston Hughes
I been scared and battered.
My hopes the wind done scattered.
Snow has friz me,
Sun has baked me,

Looks like between ’em they done
Tried to make me

Stop laughin’, stop lovin’, stop livin’–
But I don’t care!
I’m still here!

    1. Thank you for your insightful comments, Terveen. Life asks us to get involved and get our hands dirty. Sitting on the sidelines may be safe, but it’s no fun. Jump in and worry about swimming once you’re in the water. Have a great day. Stay safe and healthy. Ray
